Program
What are the realities of Sales, Marketing, and Management in a small business? And what are some "best practicies" for navigating these realities in a manner that helps your career long term? Our speaker will address these questions from her perspective as an executive of a small buisness, and also from the perspective of a recruiter who helps others with these questions. Her presentation is organized around four themes:
1) Perception and reality: 10 hard learned lessons
2) What keeps you awake at night
3) How to be an employee every company wants to have
4) How to win in the "Great Game of Business" for your career
About our Speaker

Sharon Hulce is President and CEO of Employment Resource Group, an executive search firm that specializes in not just finding top talent, but also understanding how employees integrate into a company’s culture. Sharon’s 17 years of experience and expertise as an Executive Recruiter has enabled her to develop an uncommon depth of business knowledge in regard to building high performing cultures. Her clients find her capabilities as a business advisor as critical as her executive search expertise.
Sharon’s unique approach to developing long-term partnerships with her client companies has proven tremendously successful. Employment Resource Group was presented with the “2004 Rising Star” small business award from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 2005 ERG was named the fastest-growing Management Recruiter International office in the world. That distinction, and the fact that they were out of space, led to ERG’s construction of a $3 million dollar office building on Appleton’s southeast side. To top it off, Sharon was named Women In Management’s Manager of the Year in 2006 and received the Athena Award from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce in 2005.
