Program

Jewelers Mutual is the only insurance company in the U.S. and Canada that specializes in protecting the jewelry industry and individual's jewelry. It was founded in 1913 in Neenah, WI; where its headquarters remain. Darwin Copeman, President and CEO will give an overview of Jewelers Mutual's strong company history, present day challenges and opportunities, and the positive outlook the industry presents. Patrick Drummond, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will discuss the Commercial and Personal lines marketing strategies instilled at Jewelers Mutual, stressing brand importance and the collaboration of industry relationships. 

Tours of the R. Harder Gallery of Gems and Minerals will be available, along with complimentary jewelry cleaning. 

About our Speakers

  Darwin Copeman - President and Chief Executive Officer

Darwin Copeman, CPCU, is the president and CEO at Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company. 

Copeman became the CEO of Jewelers Mutual in May of 2009, bringing more than 30 years of insurance experience to the company. Prior to joining Jewelers Mutual, Copeman served as president and CEO at Cameron Insurance Companies in Cameron, Missouri for 10 years. He also has held executive and management positions at Great American Insurance Company and Grinnel Mutual Reinsurance Company.

A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Copeman has continued his education, earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He recently received the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies’ (NAMIC) service award and currently serves on that associations’ Property/Casualty Conference Board as past chair. Copeman has served on the NAMICO board for six years.

Copeman is an active member of his community and served on several local boards and councils. 

  Patrick Drummond - Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Patrick Drummond is vice president of Sales and Marketing at Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company.

With more than 17 years of insurance experience, Patrick has the expertise to help agencies drive sales and develop business. He joined Jewelers Mutual in 2006.  

Prior to joining Jewelers Mutual, Patrick worked for Merchants Insurance Group, Sentry Insurance, Celina Mutual Insurance Company and Progressive Insurance. Patrick has served in various roles including claims, product management and marketing.

Patrick serves on the board of directors for Jewelers for Children.

Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.
