Program Details
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a true community gem that serves as a destination for visitors to the area, a partner to regional educators and a gathering place for our community. Find out how, as a nonprofit theater, the Center is challenged to deliver diverse marketing messages including the hottest Broadway shows and community outreach efforts. Plus get a behind-the-scenes look at how in eight short years the Fox Cities P.A.C. has been able to secure and successfully market 19 Wisconsin Broadway premieres right here in our community.
About our Speakers
Maria S. Van Laanen - Executive Vice President
Maria Van Laanen is a results-oriented creative problem solver. She became the first Director of Marketing for the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in November 2001, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President for the Center. Her success is predicated upon her dedicated customer focus allowing her to excel as the leader of day to day operations of the Center.
In addition to her professional position, Van Laanen presently serves on the Marketing Advisory Committee for the Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau, Intra-industry Committee for the Broadway League, and is a member of Fox Arts Network. Van Laanen is also very proud of her work on various Fox Cities development organizations and projects.
Beth Flaherty- Board Member
Beth Flaherty is an active community volunteer and mother of four children. She is an attorney and practiced primarily in the area of public interest law in Boston, Washington, D.C. and Milwaukee before moving to Neenah. She has chaired the board of the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region, is President-elect of the Fox Valley Symphony Board and also a member of the Fox Cities P.A.C. Board of Directors.
